A problem with fewer updates on ski conditions in the Gatineau Park.

This year  the NCC is only updating their cross-country ski conditions web page twice a day, at 8:30 am, and 1:30 pm.  They used to update this web page three times a day, with reports early in the morning,  at noon, and again in mid-afternoon .

These updates contain time-sensitive information such as snow temperature and recommended grip wax. There are  often major differences with reports issued for different times of the day, especially between the mornings and afternoons.

Unfortunately, the current reporting times of 8:30 am and 1:30 pm may not be very useful for a large number of people who head into the Gatineau Park in the afternoon to do some classic cross-country skiing.  The morning report is not applicable in most cases, and the 1:30 update is a little late for people who wax their skis at home before driving into the park (a common enough practice given that the Gatineau Park does not really have any interior waxing facilities).

Although it may only seem like a minor reduction in service, it may render an important part of information provided in the updates useless to a good number of people.

The price of my ski  pass went up approximately 6% this year, so I find this nickel-and-dime approach for reducing services slightly annoying.
