Public consultations on recreation activities in the Gatineau Park
The NCC will be holding public consultations on its plan for outdoor recreation activities in the Gatineau Park during the coming weeks. Such activities include cross country skiing, snowshoeing, cycling, hiking, canoeing, etc. The NCC has prepared a presentation about the issues and proposals on which it is looking for public input (see the link below).
Inadditiontotheabove, theNCCwillalso be holding consultation sessions on its transportation and heritage plans for the park. All this is part of a larger process which stems from a 2005 decision to place a far greater emphasis on pursing ecosystem and conservation objectives for the Gatineau Park.
